RTX's Additive Manufacturing Process and Capability Center (AMPCC) seeks a Principal AM Process Engineer to solve advanced problems and enable new aerospace and defense products. You will lead AM projects, collaborating across materials, design, simulation, operations, and characterization teams to advance AM maturation and deployment.

The role emphasizes development of measurement tools, process development, and collaboration with government and RTX units to generate whitepapers and proposals,

Qualifications

• University engineering degree or equivalent; 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Scripting with Matlab, Python, VBA, JavaScript or similar.
• CAD tools experience; hands-on manufacturing equipment.

Responsabilités

• Develop AM Data Packages for hardware demonstrators and IQ/OQ/MQ tools.
• Design advanced measurement tools to characterize inputs and melt pool responses.
• Lead process development to improve print capability, speed, and material performance.
• Develop tools to elucidate the Process-Structure-Property relationships.
• Collaborate with government, industry, and RTX partners on proposals and concepts.
• Execute and oversee development builds on diverse additive manufacturing machines.
• Work with cross-functional teams to support the full value stream.
• Summarize and communicate results of key programs to upper management.
