Job summary

Agile Space Industries in Durango, CO, seeks a Senior Additive Manufacturing Engineer I to lead AM process development and production readiness onsite. You will drive LPBF parameter development, CAPEX considerations, and post-process workflows to improve throughput and repeatability of AM hardware.

The role emphasizes mentorship of junior engineers and a strong focus on safety and quality within an aerospace environment. A Bachelor’s in a related field plus 5+ years’ AM experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; significant work experience may substitute.
• 5+ years of experience in additive manufacturing, manufacturing engineering, process improvement, or related roles.
• Hands-on experience operating or developing LPBF processes (e.g., Trumpf, EOS, SLM, Renishaw).
• Familiarity with build prep software (3DXpert, Magics, TruTops Print) and in-situ monitoring tools.
• Strong background in process optimization, root-cause analysis, and statistical process control.
• Proven ability to resolve complex manufacturing challenges and scale AM from R&D to production.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain manufacturing documentation aligned with AS9100 standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to transition from prototype to full-scale production and manage production readiness.
