Job summary

Ford Motor Company in the United States is seeking an experienced embedded software engineer for ADAS platforms. You will design and implement the embedded C/C++ software, work on OTA updates, and leverage AUTOSAR components to deliver robust vehicle software.

The role requires strong problem solving, high-performance computing experience, and collaboration with systems and vehicle testing teams. Hybrid onsite four days per week with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of software architecture experience using C++ and/or C.
• 5+ years designing and testing high-performance, reliable computing systems.
• Familiarity with Classic AUTOSAR stack.

Responsibilities

• Create high level documentation and software requirements for an embedded platform.
• Work on Over-the-Air software updates architecture for ADAS features.
• Use modular design, standard C libraries and AUTOSAR features to build reliable software.
• Develop the embedded C/C++ software platform for Ford's ADAS systems.
• Debug cross-functional defects to drive issues to closure.
• Apply Functional Safety concepts to Driver Assist and Platform Software.
• Follow coding standards, static analysis, and code reviews to ensure quality.
• Support real-world testing with systems and vehicle testing teams.
• Flash, validate and debug code in bench, HIL, prototypes and pre-production.
• Demonstrate technical leadership in a fast-paced, cross-functional team.
