Job summary

Aeon designs, builds, and tests low-cost, modular weapon systems for ground and air platforms. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer - Actuation, you’ll own electromechanical subsystems on our tactical missile platform, maturing a design from prototype through qualification and into production, and then leading clean sheet actuation work on future programs.

Qualifications

• 7+ years designing electromechanical actuation hardware that shipped.
• Deep knowledge of servo and motion control fundamentals.
• Experience taking designs through qualification to production.
• Hands-on test experience with instrumentation and debugging hardware.
• Proficient with CAD and PLM tools (NX, Teamcenter).
• U.S. person status under ITAR is required.

Responsibilities

• Mature existing control actuation hardware from prototype to qualified, producible design.
• Own the mechanical-to-electrical interface: packaging, connectors, harnessing, and sensor integration.
• Design and build test infrastructure, then use telemetry to characterize precision, bandwidth, stiffness, and thermal margin.
• Run qualification: vibration, shock, thermal, and life testing with the associated plans and reports.
• Drive design for manufacturability with machine shop and supply chain to scale parts for mass production.
• Lead clean sheet electromechanical design on new programs as they spin up.
