Job summary

Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics, actuarial science or similar curriculum providing rigorous analytical training
- Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society required, Fellow preferred
- Minimum of 6 years of general actuarial experience with at least 4 years in ratemaking
Responsibilities
- Oversees preparation of rate filings with supporting exhibits and regulatory considerations
- Lead, coach and develop staff with clear objectives and performance criteria
- Communicate recommendations to senior committees and management
- Monitor rate bureaus, regulators and industry developments
- Develop actuarial data systems for analysis, manipulation and reporting
- Direct pricing, reserving and capital modeling for major lines of business
- Supervise Pricing Analysts and actuarial staff
- Ensure accurate data analysis to support profitable rate decisions
- Coordinate with underwriting and claims divisions as needed
