Job summary

Selective Insurance seeks a senior actuarial pricing leader in New Jersey to guide day-to-day pricing and strategic direction. You will train staff, drive pricing analyses, and support underwriting with the goal of improving profitability and loss reduction.

Candidates should have FCAS or near completion, 5–7 years in P&C actuarial work, and a strong financial acumen. This role offers a competitive base salary and comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities

Supervise pricing analyses and communicate indications to business units.
Provide tools and guidance to underwriters and management for policy decisions.
Offer front-line field support to monitor pricing and profitability.
Prepare reports and ad hoc analysis requests for business units.
Direct maintenance and upgrades of pricing models and systems.
Provide training and knowledge sharing to staff; monitor market conditions.
