Job summary

AF Group in Lansing, MI seeks a Senior Actuary to lead pricing strategy for the commercial multiline portfolio. You will work with Actuarial, Product, Underwriting, and Regulatory teams to translate market intelligence into pricing tools and guidance.

The role emphasizes experience-based pricing evolution, cross-functional collaboration, and mentorship of analysts as the portfolio grows, with opportunities to shape strategic plans and performance metrics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or related field.
• CAS/SOA Associate designation with minimum 12 years P&C actuarial experience, or FCAS/FSA with minimum 8 years P&C actuarial experience.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Experience in pricing, reserving, capital management, underwriting.

Responsibilities

• Provide actuarial leadership for multiline product development and pricing strategy.
• Evaluate competitive pricing approaches and translate market research into filing strategies and pricing tools.
• Partner with Product and Underwriting to identify opportunities for segmentation and profitable growth.
• Develop and evolve multiline pricing framework with rate indications and portfolio monitoring.
• Perform actuarial analyses for pricing, reserving, capital management and other financial purposes.
• Communicate findings via presentations, reports, and pricing tools.
• Design, enhance, and maintain pricing, reserving, reinsurance models.
