Job summary

Resolution Life is seeking an Actuary, Model Validation to establish and lead a model validation team responsible for independent validation of models used across the organization.

The role includes developing a consistent validation methodology, managing the annual portfolio of validations, and guiding a team of actuaries with varying levels of experience. Hybrid work in West Chester, PA is supported.

Qualifications

• FSA or near-FSA with 7+ years experience, including supervisory/managerial exposure.
• Experience leading a model validation function and coordinating across Risk, Actuarial, Finance.
• Experience with actuarial modeling platforms (GGY AXIS/Prophet) preferred.
• Familiarity with AI applications to improve processes is a plus.
• Strong oral and written communication of technical matters to senior management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Resolution Life's model validation team and operating model.
• Develop and manage the annual model validation plan and priorities.
• Oversee independent model validations including purpose, methodology, controls, and documentation.
• Provide challenge and ensure objectivity in validation processes.
• Review validation workpapers and reports and communicate findings clearly.
