Job summary

Highmark Inc. is seeking a senior actuarial analyst in Columbus, OH, participating in the Actuarial Executive Development Program and progressing toward actuarial credentials.

You will define problems, outline data needs, perform analyses, and prepare materials to inform management decisions across pricing, reserving, profitability, and related domains. You will mentor staff, lead studies, and develop efficient processes while applying statistical techniques to multiple actuarial functions,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or its equivalent in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or closely related discipline.
• 3 years experience in an Actuarial role.
• 6 Exam Components required; 10+ Exam Components preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define & diagnose a problem and outline data requirements for a study or analysis.
• Create studies and materials to inform decision makers and provide recommendations.
• Mentor less experienced staff and lead actuarial analyses and presentations.
• Develop processes and apply actuarial methods to pricing, reserving, and other analyses.
