Job summary

Pacific Guardian Life in Hawai‘i seeks an experienced Actuary to join the corporate actuarial team. You will influence earnings, risk, and product profitability through data-driven insights and AXIS modeling.

The role requires extensive actuarial experience, collaboration across departments, and the ability to translate complex analysis into strategic action. Remote or in-person work flexibility is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, finance, actuarial science, or business.
• ASA or FSA designation preferred but not required with relevant experience.
• 10 years of professional actuarial work experience in annuities or life insurance.
• Experience with AXIS models and GGY Axis output.
• Strong data management skills and ability to handle multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Assure quality data management and develop reports to ensure accuracy.
• Collaborate with departments to obtain and improve reliable data systems.
• Support the Appointed Actuary with data provisioning and system enhancements.
• Provide interpretation and guidance to senior actuarial leadership.
• Maintain knowledge of actuarial standards and industry best practices.
• Build credibility and strong relationships within the actuarial team and partners.
