Job summary

HealthPartners, Inc. is seeking an Actuarial Business Systems Principal Analyst to provide technical and programming support to the Actuarial and Underwriting Departments, and to develop functional specifications for moderately complex systems and programs.

You will code, test, debug, and document complex programs, evaluate proposals for new projects, and maintain knowledge of health partner business operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• 6+ years experience in data processing and healthcare software.
• 6+ years experience in large-sized project management/leadership.
• 3+ years providing work direction to others.
• Thorough knowledge of healthcare business, software, databases and queries.

Responsibilities

• Designs and develops specifications for complex systems from functional specs.
• Develops specs for complex programs and interfaces, with resource estimates.
• Interfaces with business users to document modifications.
• Performs coding, unit testing, and integration for production readiness.
• Oversees work of Programmers or lower level staff; may lead projects.
