HealthPartners in Minnesota seeks a Director, Actuary - Valuation and Reporting to lead actuarial valuation, financial reporting, reserve analysis, and regulatory support for health plan products.

The role provides leadership across valuation and reporting processes, ensures adherence to Actuarial Standards of Practice, and builds a high‑performing actuarial team through coaching and cross‑functional partnership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Economics, Finance, Business, or related field.
• FSA with ten years of health plan valuation, reporting, or leadership experience, or ASA with fifteen years.
• MAAA certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead actuarial valuation, financial reporting, reserve development, and regulatory support.
• Design, govern, and review models, assumptions, controls, and documentation.
• Develop and mentor actuarial staff and cross‑functional partners.
• Explain results to senior leaders and provide strategic recommendations.
• Collaborate with Finance, Compliance, Legal, Product, and Operations.
