Job summary

Molina Healthcare seeks an experienced actuarial leader to manage and mentor the actuarial team, oversee reports and regulatory submissions, and guide analyses of medical cost trends. The role requires deep expertise in pricing, reserving, or analytics, plus strong communication and leadership skills.

The ideal candidate will drive actuarial studies, interpret complex results, and support rate filings and strategic financial projections.

Qualifications

• At least 7 years of actuarial experience or equivalent
• ASA and MAAA memberships
• Bachelor’s degree in actuarial related fields
• Demonstrated expertise in at least one actuarial function (pricing, reserving, analytics, etc.)
• Strong communication and leadership abilities
• Advanced statistics and predictive analytics
• Strong problem-solving and time-management skills
• Proficient in MS Office including Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables)

Responsibilities

• Hire, onboard, train, mentor actuarial staff and provide technical leadership
• Review actuarial reporting for consistency and methodologies
• Oversee actuarial opinions and regulatory filings (state/federal)
• Design and perform actuarial studies on medical costs and trends
• Interpret results and propose actionable solutions
• Support ad-hoc projects: rate filings, financial projections, budgeting, acquisitions
• Stay current with actuarial developments and industry trends
