Job summary

CNA Insurance is seeking a Senior Actuarial Consultant to join the pricing team to develop and recommend actuarial pricing and rating plans of a complex nature for commercial auto and general liability.

You will collaborate with business partners and Actuarial leaders, acting as a trusted advisor to provide analyses and insights that influence pricing decisions across technical and non-technical audiences. This role offers a hybrid schedule across multiple CNA Actuarial Hub locations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent.
Typically a minimum of seven years of related work experience.
ACAS designation and working towards FCAS. May include those that have attained their FCAS.

Responsibilities

Establishes relationships with business partners and SMEs, provides actuarial guidance as needed.
Builds strong relationships to influence pricing strategy through analytics.
Provides analyses to determine pricing strategy and may create/modify tools and analytics as needed.
Monitors profitability, reserving, and claim trends; shares results with leadership and partners.
Guides less experienced team members and manages projects as needed.
Produces technical actuarial analyses and reports and communicates findings to management.
