Job summary

Kemper is seeking a Senior Actuarial Analyst to perform complex pricing analyses and support actuarial filings. You will collaborate with the Actuarial leadership team, Data Scientists, and Product Managers to shape pricing strategies aligned with business goals.

Eastern or Central Time hours are required. This role offers extensive benefits and opportunities for growth within a leading specialty insurer.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, economics or related field.
4+ years of actuarial analyst or pricing analyst experience; P&C experience preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/VBA and SAS, Python or SQL.
Successful completion of 5 or more actuarial exams or equivalent knowledge.

Responsibilities

Produce sound rate level indications with intermediate understanding of ratemaking.
Support state filing with actuarial memorandum, forms, regulator correspondence, rate impact measurement and analysis documentation.
Quantify and validate proposed rates.
Query and aggregate ratemaking data.
Perform complex trend analyses (frequency and severity).
Automate and enhance processes to improve efficiencies.
Assist with development of junior staff and communicate with management.
