Kemper Auto is seeking a highly skilled Resident Actuarial Engineer Manager to integrate data engineering with actuarial processes. This role bridges actuarial science, solution development, and data engineering to enable data-driven pricing for personal and commercial auto insurance.

The ideal candidate will oversee development, maintenance, and implementation of data-driven pricing strategies, ensuring accuracy and actionable insights across pricing teams and products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, data engineering, data analytics or related field.
• 5+ years in solution or data engineering, data analysis, or similar role.
• 3+ years Python development with clean-code practices.

Responsibilities

• Leadership: Lead a team of engineers, drive scalable data solutions and cloud strategies for actuarial needs.
• Actuarial Solution Development: Develop and maintain actuarial capabilities, including portfolio re-rating and pricing models using Python in a cloud environment.
• Actuarial Data Support: Collaborate with the actuarial team to provide pricing solutions via advanced analytics and automation, ensuring governance.
• Innovation and Optimization: Advance analytics adoption, optimize data workflows and automate processes for efficiency.
• Data Governance & Compliance: Establish data governance and ensure regulatory compliance and data integrity.
• Collaboration: Align data/pricing strategies with business goals and support training for stakeholders.
