Job summary

Highmark Health is seeking a senior actuarial analyst to participate in the Actuarial Executive Development Program and advance toward credentialing. The role involves using actuarial techniques and data analysis to inform pricing, reserving, experience studies, and related analyses across departments.

You will guide staff, develop studies and presentations, and provide decision support to management while driving efficient processes and cross-team collaboration in a dynamic healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or closely related discipline.
• Preferred: Master’s Degree or equivalent.
• Required: 3 years experience in an Actuarial role.
• Exam Components: 6; Preferred: 10 or more Exam Components.

Responsibilities

• Define & diagnose a problem.
• Outline data requirements for a study or analysis and devise potential solutions.
• Review the appropriateness of the results in light of experience and industry knowledge.
• Create studies, analyses, and presentation materials for decision makers.
• Make appropriate recommendations to management across teams within the actuarial department.
• Mentor less experienced staff and ensure quality.
