Job summary

Blue Cross NC is seeking a Senior Actuarial Analyst to join our Medical Economics Enablement team. You will turn healthcare data into actionable insights, support enterprise priorities, and develop scalable analytic solutions.

You will work with actuarial, business and technology partners to identify cost drivers, build BI content, and deliver data-driven recommendations that improve affordability and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required).
• 4+ years of relevant actuarial experience; related experience may be considered.
• Completed 5 or more exams towards the ASA designation; ASA or more exams may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Develops reporting structure, toolset and analytic strategy to support market and domain teams as well as pricing for programs and products.
• Supports the rating process by determining the need for and building actuarial model enhancements.
• Distributes established reports and responds to inquiries; investigates trends and anomalies.
• Coordinate and independently develop BI content through the entire development life-cycle to provide data necessary to business decisions and measure performance.
• Share expertise with business areas to assist in understanding enterprise data content and usage and maintain a knowledge base.
• Plans, implements, manages and/or contributes to projects of moderate/high complexity.
• Participates in the Actuarial Development Program.
