Job summary

Blue Cross NC is seeking a Senior Actuarial Analyst to join our Medical Economics Enablement team. The role applies actuarial expertise and advanced analytics to transform healthcare data into actionable insights that improve affordability and drive business performance.

You will collaborate with actuarial, business, and technology partners to develop scalable analytic solutions, identify cost drivers, and deliver data-driven recommendations aligned with enterprise priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in a related field.
• 4+ years of actuarial experience in a relevant area.
• Completed 5 or more exams toward ASA.
• In lieu of minimum exam requirements, consider additional relevant experience.
• In lieu of minimum experience, ASA or more exams toward ASA.

Responsibilities

• Develops reporting structure, toolset and analytic strategy to support market teams and pricing.
• Supports the rating process by determining the need for and building actuarial model enhancements.
• Distributes reports and responds to inquiries; investigates trends and anomalies.
• Coordinate and independently develop BI content through the entire development life-cycle.
• Share expertise with business areas to explain enterprise data content and BI tools.
• Plan and contribute to projects of moderate/high complexity.
