Job summary
Blue Cross NC is seeking a Senior Actuarial Analyst to join our Medical Economics Enablement team. You will apply actuarial expertise and advanced analytical skills to transform complex healthcare data into actionable insights that improve affordability, support strategic decision-making, and drive business performance.
The ideal candidate has 4+ years of actuarial experience with ASA progress, and strong proficiency in SQL, Power BI, and healthcare analytics.
Qualifications
- BS/MS in actuarial science or related field required or equivalent work experience.
- 4+ years actuarial experience with ASA progress or equivalent.
- Proficiency in SQL, Power BI and healthcare analytics.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-facing skills.
Responsibilities
- Develops reporting structure, tools and analytic strategy for pricing and programs.
- Builds and enhances actuarial models and BI content across teams.
- Distributes reports and investigates trends and anomalies.
- Develops end-to-end BI solutions and dashboards for decision support.
- Collaborates to maintain data definitions and a knowledge base.
- Contributes to moderate/high complexity projects.
