Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey is seeking a senior actuary analyst to lead government programs trend forecasting and pricing analyses. You will evaluate benefit changes, conduct experience studies, and drive AI adoption within actuarial work.

In this role, you will collaborate with stakeholders, prepare management reports, and tackle ad hoc modeling projects, leveraging advanced Excel, SAS, SQL, and Python to deliver insights and sound recommendations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum of 4 years of actuarial, statistical, healthcare analytics, or related experience required.
• Progress toward ASA designation is highly preferred.
• Health insurance, healthcare, or managed care experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of AI concepts, tools, and platforms including generative AI and prompt engineering.

Responsabilités

• Assist in the development of forecasted trends.
• Evaluate proposed benefit and cost-sharing changes and assess their financial impact.
• Conduct pricing analyses and studies for product lines of business.
• Analyze the impact of proposed state and federal legislative and regulatory changes.
• Conduct experience studies and analyses to identify cost drivers, utilization patterns, and emerging trends.
• Identify, shape, and document AI use cases in partnership with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and present findings to management.
• Complete ad hoc modeling, forecasting, and analytical projects as needed.
