Job summary

Blue Cross NC is seeking a Senior Actuarial Analyst to join our Medical Economics Enablement team. You will apply actuarial expertise and advanced analytics to transform healthcare data into actionable insights that improve affordability and drive business performance.

The role requires 4+ years of actuarial experience, 5+ ASA exams, and strong BI skills with Power BI, SQL, and Python/R. You will collaborate across actuarial, business, and tech partners in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree as applicable.
• 4+ years of actuarial experience.
• Must have completed 5+ exams toward ASA.
• In lieu of meeting minimum exams, additional relevant experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Develops reporting structure and analytic strategy for market teams and pricing programs.
• Supports rating process by building actuarial model enhancements.
• Distributes reports and investigates trends and anomalies.
• Coordinates and develops BI content across the full development life cycle.
• Shares data definitions and tools knowledge with business areas and maintains a knowledge base.
• Plans and contributes to moderate/high complexity projects.
• Participates in the Actuarial Development Program.
