Job summary

Jonus Group seeks a Senior Actuarial Analyst / Assistant Actuary for its Commercial Lines P&C team in Chicago. The role is hybrid, and you will support reserving analyses, loss development evaluation, and profitability reviews across the portfolio.

You will collaborate with underwriting, claims, finance, and senior leadership to drive profitability and growth, preparing actuarial reports and contributing to pricing and regulatory support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
• 2+ years of P&C actuarial experience.
• 3+ CAS exams completed.
• Experience with SQL and Python or R.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to translate complex analysis into actionable business insights.

Responsibilities

• Support quarterly reserving analyses and financial close activities.
• Evaluate loss development, claim trends, profitability, and rate adequacy.
