Our client, an A rated leading insurance carrier, is looking to hire a Senior Actuarial Analyst. This person will be responsible for providing key analytical support across several operational fronts. By applying quantitative techniques and a deep understanding of our business metrics, the analyst will influence decisions and strategies that ensure business efficiency and profitability. This is a Hybrid position out of any of their regional offices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and report on business metrics, focusing on trends in performance metrics to aid strategic planning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide analytical insights that support business objectives.
- Participate in the development and revision of pricing models and tools, ensuring they meet the needs of dynamic market conditions.
- Conduct thorough reviews of existing data and forecasts to support business initiatives and regulatory compliance.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for stakeholders to support decision-making processes.
- Engage in the optimization of data collection and analysis processes, utilizing both traditional and advanced analytical tools.
- Assist in the preparation and analysis of data for reinsurance and financial reporting.
- Support continuous improvement by identifying and implementing enhancements to actuarial processes and tools.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of actuarial experience, preferably in the property & casualty insurance industry.
- Strong proficiency in actuarial software tools and data analysis programs, such as SAS, SQL, or R.
- Successful completion of several actuarial exams towards a designation from a recognized actuarial body (e.g., ACAS).
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information in an accessible manner.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
Salary & Benefits:
- $125,000 to $150,000+ annual base salary (depending on experience) + Performance Based Bonus
