Job summary

EY is seeking a Senior Manager in Financial Services – Insurance and Actuarial Advisory Services in New York. Lead engagement teams, advise senior client stakeholders, and shape how actuarial work is delivered amid transformation and AI.

You may start with modeling or financial reporting transformations for major insurers and guide capital initiatives. You will possess a strong actuarial background (8+ years), a fellowship (FSA) or equivalent, and deep knowledge of U.S.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics or a related field.
• Approximately 8+ years of relevant actuarial experience, including leading people and/or complex projects.
• Fellowship in the Society of Actuaries (FSA), or a comparable actuarial credential and equivalent depth.
• Deep knowledge of U.S. life, health and/or annuity products.
• Demonstrated depth in at least one actuarial advisory discipline, with the interest to grow into adjacent areas.
• Strong writing, presentation, analytical, project management and interpersonal skills, and willingness to travel (typically 10-30%).

Responsibilities

• Lead complex actuarial advisory engagements from scope through delivery, balancing quality, commercial outcomes, risk and budget.
• Advise chief actuaries, controllers and finance leaders, translating complex issues into clear, practical recommendations.
• Bring depth in one or more areas — such as modeling, actuarial audit, financial and regulatory reporting, transformation, product strategy, reinsurance or capital management — and grow into others over time.
• Lead, coach and develop diverse teams, and serve as a counselor invested in others' growth.
• Build client relationships, help originate new work, and shape how we apply AI and new technology to deliver better outcomes.
