Job summary

Guy Carpenter seeks an SVP Actuarial Advisor to partner with brokers and clients, delivering solutions beyond traditional actuarial analysis. You will lead and collaborate with broking teams to leverage analytical resources, discuss risks, and drive client outcomes in a hybrid role with in-office and remote days.

Qualifications

• Minimum ACAS designation, preferably FCAS, with at least 7-10 years of industry experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
• Experience in pricing, valuation, and/or capital modeling.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
• Visualization skills using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Coding experience in programming languages such as Alteryx, R, Python, VBA, or SQL.
• Comfortable working collaboratively in interactive teams with brokers and clients.
• Ability to lead day-to-day project activities and make decisions to keep projects on track.
• Strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Propose actuarial services and valuations to clients.
• Modify complex models and develop value-added pricing for brokers and clients.
• Expand client services beyond reinsurance transactions.
• Direct a team to build complex specialty models and pricing strategies.
• Advise senior management on issues and progress of transactions.
• Communicate strategically with brokers, reinsurers, and clients on actuarial services.
