Job summary

Regency at Canton is hiring to support the Activity Director in delivering engaging programs for Residents at our Canton, MI location. You will help plan and facilitate activities that promote physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being and foster a strong sense of community.

We seek someone with a high school diploma or GED, comfort with computers, and a willingness to collaborate with families and volunteers to meet Residents' needs. Prior long-term care activity experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• Previous experience in activities, recreation therapy, and long-term care preferred.
• Computer skills are required.
• Meets state and federal criminal background check requirements.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates activity programs as planned to meet Residents' interests.
• Assist Residents to and from activity programs and outings as scheduled.
• Maintains rapport with family members and encourages family support in programs.
• Completes records indicating attendance and participation in activities.
• Provide input to assessment and evaluation of Residents' participation.
• Supports Residents' individual needs and choices.
• Assists with escorting Residents to activities.
• Work with volunteers and volunteer programs as requested.
• Cleans equipment and materials used for activities.
• Participates in regulatory and accreditation requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
