Job summary

Oakmont Management Group’s Ivy Park at Palos Verdes seeks an Activity Assistant to support a vibrant social calendar for residents. You will help plan and run activities, excursions and events, engage guests, and foster meaningful interactions within the community.

Responsibilities include recruiting volunteers, coordinating schedules, communicating with residents and families, and ensuring safety. The role requires 18+ years, a HS diploma, basic computer skills, and the ability to drive

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to operate a personal computer and MS Office (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint).
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests (physical and TB).

Responsibilities

• Assist the Activity Director in creating a lively social atmosphere and promote resident participation through scheduled activities, excursions, events, guest speakers, movies, exercise sessions, clubs and art.
• Develop, recruit, manage and schedule Community Volunteers as requested.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors, co-workers and supervisors with tact and kindness.
• Maintain a safe, secure environment following established safety standards; able to drive Community vehicles.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with other departments.
