Job summary

Oakmont Management Group's Ivy Park at San Tomas in San Jose, CA, is seeking an Activity Assistant to organize and promote activities for residents on Saturdays and Sundays. This part-time role supports the Activity Director, creating engaging programs and helping maintain resident independence and quality of life.

You will recruit volunteers, schedule events, ensure safety, and assist with driving community vehicles as needed. Competitive benefits accompany a rewarding team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prefer 1 year of experience coordinating or teaching activities with seniors.
• Valid Class C license (Class B preferred with Passenger Endorsement).
• Proficient in MS Office programs.
• Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests including TB.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Activity Director in creating a engaging social atmosphere and promote resident participation through activities, excursions, events, speakers, movies, and clubs.
• Develop, recruit, manage and schedule Community Volunteers as requested.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors, coworkers, and supervisors.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment following established safety standards.
• Able to drive Community vehicles.
• Encourage teamwork across departments.
