Oakmont Management Group seeks an Activity Assistant for Ivy Living at Lake Merritt in California. You will organize and promote social activities, coordinate excursions, and help residents maintain independence and quality of life.

Responsibilities include supporting the Activity Director, recruiting volunteers, ensuring safety, and communicating with residents, families, and staff. A high school diploma and willingness to work with seniors are required, with growth potential within Oakmont’s

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Requires ability to coordinate or teach activities with seniors (preferred).
• Proficient in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Assist the Activity Director in creating a rewarding social atmosphere and promote resident participation through activities and events.
• Develop, recruit, manage and schedule Community Volunteers as requested.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with residents, families, visitors, co-workers, and supervisors.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment by following established safety standards.
• Able to drive Community vehicles.
• Encourage teamwork through collaboration with other departments.
