Job summary

Oakmont Management Group seeks an Activity Assistant for its Oakmont Senior Living communities. The role focuses on organizing and promoting engaging activities and excursions to enhance residents’ independence and quality of life.

The position requires coordinating volunteers, excellent communication, and a commitment to safety and teamwork in a senior living environment. On-site work with benefits and support from a caring team.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prefer one year of experience coordinating or teaching activities with seniors.
• Able to operate a personal computer and be proficient in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Activity Director in providing an interesting, creative, and rewarding social atmosphere throughout the Community and promoting resident participation through regularly scheduled activities, excursions, events, and classes.
• Develop, recruit, manage and schedule Community Volunteers as requested.
• Communicate effectively and display tact with residents, families, visitors, co-workers, and supervisors.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following safety standards.
• Able to drive Community vehicles.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.
