Job summary

High Desert PACE seeks a compassionate Activities Assistant to support a varied program for elderly participants. You will help implement engaging activities, assist with daily living during activities, and help organize events to enhance social engagement.

Under supervision of the Recreational Therapist or Center Manager, you will prepare supplies, supervise groups, and ensure safety while delivering enriching experiences in a friendly center environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of experience with frail or elderly population.
• Bilingual in Spanish, Russian, Punjabi, or Hmong is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a calendar of recreational activities.
• Lead group and individual activities (1:1s).
• Assist with exercise, arts and crafts, games, and current events discussions.
• Assist Recreational Therapist with special events and outings.
• Prepare and clean up for activities and organize supplies.
