• Bachelor's degree in therapeutic recreation (preferred) or 90-hour course for activity professionals and continuing education.
• Must have knowledge of activity practices, standards of practice, and related laws and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, coordinate, and evaluate diversified resident-centered activities.
• Involve residents in planning and advocate for their needs and rights.
• Participate in meetings (resident/family councils, department heads).
• Maintain records and reports related to activities.
• Promote community relations and fundraising activities.
• Discipline when required and ensure safety and quality of care.
