Job summary

PACE by IIH seeks an entry-level Activities Assistant in Stockton, CA to plan and implement therapeutic recreational activities for participants. Under supervision of the Activities Manager, you will coordinate group and individual activities addressing cognitive, physical, social, and emotional needs, document participation, and support the team to ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications include at least a high school diploma and 2+ years in geriatric activities; willingness to work flexible

Qualifications

• Sufficient knowledge of activities/recreational therapy techniques for the elderly.
• Advanced knowledge of principles involved in relating to frail elderly persons.
• Creative abilities to plan, develop, and implement varied activities.

Responsibilities

• Participate as a member of the IDT and in assessments; report changes daily.
• Coordinate group and individual activities addressing cognitive, physical, social, and psychosocial needs.
• Develop activities including exercise, arts and crafts, celebrations, and community events.
• Maintain documentation of participant activities and assessments as directed by the team.
• Assist with supplies, inventories, and equipment to support recreational therapies.
