Job summary

Good Samaritan in Mandan, ND is seeking a PRN activities/Wellness staff member to enhance residents' quality of life through meaningful one-on-one and group activities. You will manage the monthly activity calendar and encourage resident input, preserving dignity and identity in all programs.

The role supports a Christian, not-for-profit environment with opportunities to lead creative activities, coordinate with nursing and care teams, and document progress in MDS/EPIC as required.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in social services or creative activities are preferred.
• Experience in geriatrics preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred or student in healthcare program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required based on location.
• CPR training within six months of hire if location requires it.
• Motor vehicle report and valid driver's license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead activities to improve residents' quality of life, one-on-one or in groups.
• Administer the monthly activity calendar and coordinate activities.
• Assist with simple nursing procedures and transport residents as needed.
• Support documentation in MDS/EPIC systems and maintain accurate records.
• Demonstrate leadership, strong communication, and problem-solving to handle behavioral issues.
