Job summary

Arbor Hills Nursing & Rehab seeks a dedicated Activities Assistant to engage residents in meaningful floor activities and events. You will plan, prepare snacks, and help with dining room setups while ensuring safety and cleanliness across activity spaces.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED, NCCAP credentials or related hours, and a compassionate, organized approach. Weekend/evening shifts are required, with paid holidays and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 6 NCCAP college credits preferred.
• 500 hours of activity programming experience preferred.
• Certification as Occupational Therapy Assistant or NCCAP Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, pre-plan and implement floor activities based on center activity schedule.
• Plan and organize special floor activities using monthly calendar ideas.
• Prepare special snacks with residents.
• Set up dining room tables for activities.
• Clean up after all activities.
• Complete required logs and charting.
• Keep activity areas clean, safe and free from clutter.
• Assist residents to and from common areas as stated by their care plan.
• Assist other departments with residents as needed and required.
• Weekends, holidays and evenings required.
