Job summary

Oak Park Place in Madison, WI is seeking an Activity Assistant to help plan, organize, and implement recreational and social events that promote residents’ wellbeing and regular socialization.

Under the supervision of the Activity Director, you will lead activities, coordinate with other departments, and assess residents’ needs to tailor programs that enhance physical activity and social interaction.

Qualifications

• A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
• Previous experience working with the elderly preferred.
• Previous experience in an activity’s role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Working under the direction of the Activity Director you will help organize, plan, and execute a well-balanced activity program.
• Organize, lead, and promote interest in recreational activities, such as arts, crafts, and games.
• Generate positivity and encourage resident participation.
• Work with all departments to ensure resident needs are being met.
• Assess the needs and interests of individuals and groups and plan activities accordingly.
