Job summary

Oak Park Place in Madison, WI seeks an Activity Assistant to plan, organize and implement recreational and social events for residents, promoting well-being and socialization.

Under the supervision of the Activity Director, you will lead activities such as arts, crafts and games, assess resident interests, and coordinate with other departments to meet needs. Part-time, non-exempt position with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
• Previous experience working with the elderly preferred.
• Previous experience in an activity's role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Working under the direction of the Activity Director you will help organize, plan, and execute a well-balanced activity program
• Organize, lead, and promote interest in recreational activities, such as arts, crafts, and games
• Generate positivity and encourage resident participation
• Work with all departments to ensure resident needs are being met
• Assess the needs and interests of individuals and groups and plan activities accordingly
