Job summary

CACI International Inc. is seeking a Sr. Systems Administrator (Active Directory) in Hampton, VA, to support the Distributed Ground System at Langley AFB.

You will manage a virtualized data center, oversee patching and backups, and work in a mission-driven environment to ensure system readiness. The role requires TS/SCI clearance, a relevant degree or equivalent experience, and hands-on experience with AD, Group Policy, DNS, VMware, and server technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Active TS/SCI clearance is required.
• Minimum 5 years of IT/System Administration experience.
• Security+ certification is required.
• Experience with Microsoft Server 2019, Windows 11, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, or VMware.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and operate a virtualized data center environment using VMware and Dell/EMC server/storage technologies.
• Install, support and maintain servers with performance tuning and storage allocation.
• Protect system integrity with patch management, antivirus oversight, and backups/restoration.
• Diagnose and resolve outages, inquiries, and system-related issues.
• Perform health checks across processes, services, networks and storage.
• Update documentation and support configuration management; resolve issues.
• Collaborate with security team on upgrades, compliance, and system security initiatives.
• Mentor Tier 1 and Tier 2 support personnel.
