Job summary

Vanguard is seeking a senior investment professional to lead analysis and decision support for structured products, focusing on CMBS and RMBS. You will deliver rigorous quantitative insights, drive credit-focused investment opportunities, and work closely with the fixed income desk to optimize risk-adjusted returns.

Located in Malvern, PA, this role requires in-office presence Tue–Thu within a hybrid model and offers strategic collaboration with senior leadership and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in investment management with 4+ years in active credit structured products focused on commercial/residential real estate and/or data centers.
• Graduate degree (MBA/MS) and CFA preferred.
• Proficiency with SQL, Python, Tableau and large datasets.

Responsibilities

• Own coverage across CMBS/RMBS; track market/regulatory/economic developments; translate into opportunities and desk insights.
• Build purchase/sale recommendations integrating credit fundamentals, prepayment behavior, relative value, and risk analytics.
• Lead surveillance of issuers/sectors; monitor credit quality changes, prepayment trends, and risk factors; deliver updates to the desk.
• Leverage advanced analytics to improve and automate processes; streamline workflows and data integration; accelerate decision making.
• Present views and strategies to senior leadership, internal partners, and clients; foster relationships with PMs, banks, issuers, rating agencies, and analysts.
• Contribute to cross-functional initiatives to strengthen Active Credit.
