Job summary

Odyssey Systems Consulting Group seeks a Principal Programs Engineer to support the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center at Hill AFB, Utah. This role delivers weapons systems engineering capabilities across the acquisition process, ensuring requirements are met and schedules are maintained.

The successful candidate will analyze performance, manage baselines, and provide oversight across development, integration, sustainment, deployment, and fielding.

Qualifications

  • PhD or MS with national recognition in a relevant field.
  • Experience supporting DoD acquisition programs or similar environments.
  • Demonstrated system development, integration, or sustainment work.

Responsibilities

  • Review armament program portfolios; recommend alternatives and ensure testing meets specs.
  • Prepare and evaluate system documents; conduct program reviews of engineering plans.
  • Develop reports and deliver technical presentations; establish validation criteria.
  • Analyze performance of major weapon systems; provide lifecycle oversight.
  • Deliver engineering support across acquisition, development, sustainment, and deployment.
  • Conduct trade studies on performance, cost, risk, and schedule; provide recommendations.
  • Support proposal analysis; review DoD documents and configurations.
  • Review system concepts and user requirements in baselines.
