Job summary

Odyssey is seeking a Principal Acquisition Program Engineer to support the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center at Hill AFB, Utah. The role focuses on delivering weapons systems engineering capabilities throughout the acquisition process, with responsibilities spanning reviews, documentation, reporting and testing.

Qualifications

• Citizenship: US Citizen required.
• Clearance: Current Secret Clearance.
• PhD or MS with national-level recognition and publications.
• Experience supporting DoD acquisition programs or similar engineering environments.
• Experience with system development, integration, and sustainment activities.

Responsibilities

• Review armament program portfolios to improve systems engineering processes and test results.
• Prepare and evaluate technical documents defining system characteristics and baselines.
• Develop management reports and deliver technical presentations; establish validation criteria.
• Analyze performance of major weapon systems and provide engineering oversight throughout the acquisition lifecycle.
• Deliver engineering, technical, and training support across acquisition, development, integration, sustainment, deployment, fielding, installation and operations.
• Conduct engineering trade studies covering performance, cost, reliability, and risk; provide recommendations through audits and reviews.
• Support proposal analysis by assessing technical feasibility, compatibility, and cost effectiveness.
• Review and analyze system concepts and user requirements in baselines.
