Job description

Synchron, LLC has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Acquisition Program Analyst to provide acquisition support to the U.S. Navy Team Submarine organization at the Washington Navy Yard in Washington, DC. You will support the Undersea Defensive Warfare Systems Program Office (PMS 415) for Navy counter-measure decoy and defense systems, helping to develop and procure advanced undersea warfare technology.

Responsibilities:

  1. Facilitate communication among stakeholders to align program achievements with DoD acquisition processes.
  2. Support meetings and briefings, interfacing between the Program Office and stakeholders, responding to inquiries.
  3. Research acquisition topics and documentation, including DoD 5000, SECNAV 5000, OTA, MTA, and Milestone Requirements for various programs.
  4. Evaluate project schedules, procurement profiles, and brief government clients, considering organizational priorities and resource implications.
  5. Assist PMS 415 personnel with business process implementation, documentation, planning, tasking, and metrics development.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  1. 15 years of experience in DoD product, project, or program management.
  2. Experience with DoD acquisition programs and processes.
  3. Strategic acquisition support experience with DoD 5000, SECNAV 5000, OTA, MTA, and Milestone requirements for ACAT II, III, and Service-level programs.
  4. Excellent communication and analytical skills; ability to meet with program officials and develop actionable plans.
  5. Experience briefing senior leaders (O-6/GS-15 and above).
  6. Knowledge of DoD contracts, appropriations, and budgeting in defense acquisition.
  7. Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, or a managerial discipline.
  8. Active DoD Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience with Navy weapons or countermeasures (operations, acquisition, technical, logistics).
  2. Supporting the US Navy or active-duty Navy experience is preferred.

Work Location: Near Washington Navy Yard, with limited telework possible; in-person attendance required for meetings.

Travel: 10-20%.
