Job description

Synchron, LLC has an exciting opportunity for a Financial Management Analyst to provide direct financial analysis support to the Undersea Defensive Warfare Systems Program Office (PMS 415) at the Washington Navy Yard in Washington, DC. You will provide operational finance and project support for Navy torpedo defense systems.

Responsibilities:
  1. Track and analyze project expenditure and spend rates for Navy decoys and countermeasures for ships and submarines.
  2. Maintain and update project tracking sheets.
  3. Analyze expenditures and expected costs related to system development, production, installation, maintenance, sustainment, and modernization.
  4. Provide analysis and recommendations to the Principal Assistant Program Manager (PAPM).
Education and Experience Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a technical field.
  2. Minimum of two years' experience in project or operational finance or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  3. Experience with US government contract finance, preferably within Department of Defense (DoD) programs.
  4. Basic understanding of DoD or Navy appropriations, budgeting processes, and terminology.
  5. Proficiency with MS Office software (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
  6. Experience with US Navy funded contract vehicles or active-duty Navy finance ratings is strongly preferred. Experience with Navy ERP systems or equivalent is required.
  7. Experience with Navy budgeting and fiscal software is desired.
  8. Active Secret Clearance.

Work location: Vicinity of Washington Navy Yard with hybrid telework options.
