Job summary

Apogee Engineering, LLC is seeking a Senior Acquisition Analyst to support SSC/SZQ at Peterson Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO. The role requires extensive program management experience and a Top Secret clearance, with hybrid telework available.

Responsibilities include coordinating taskers, analyzing cost and schedule baselines, and producing acquisition documentation and briefings for senior leadership. Travel may be required, with a strong focus on DoD acquisition processes.

Qualifications

• DoD acquisition knowledge; DoDI 5000.02/5000.75 familiarity.

Overview

Apogee is actively seeking a Senior Acquisition Analyst to support the Strategic Warning and Surveillance Systems Directorate (SSC/SZQ).

This is a full-time role at Peterson SFB, located in Colorado Springs, CO.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Government in assessing what programs are within schedule and cost baseline
• Coordinate the completion of the divisions taskers from higher headquarters
• Recommend viable solutions to problems and the pursuit of alternative courses of action
• Effectively communicate orally and in writing, providing quality acquisition and program documentation (briefings, documents, plans, etc)
• Plan, research, analyze and assess system acquisition in terms of development, production and deployment of weapons systems and associated equipment
• Formulate plans and recommend effective strategies in meeting cost, schedule and performance objectives
• Support and develop acquisition reports, including statutory and regulatory reports (i.e. DAES, MAR, etc.)
• Support program management reviews, senior-level meeting/reviews and Integrated Master Plan (IMP)/Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) reviews
• Support and develop various briefings/schedules of program status and acquisition tasks to senior management
• Support program management reviews, senior-level meeting/reviews and IMP/IMS reviews
• Support implementation and execution of Agile software development processes in concert with Government and Prime contractors

Qualifications

Minimum Experience:

Citizenship:Must be a US citizen

Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain a Top Secret level clearance

Education: High School Diploma

Years of Experience:14 or more years of relevant experience

• Knowledge of principles, policies and practices of systems acquisition and program management, as defined in DoDI 5000.02 and 5000.75
• DAWIA certification or equivalent preferred

Preferred Experience:

Certifications:DAWIA Advanced (formerly Level III) Equivalency in Program Management or Engineering & Technical Management

Education: Bachelor's degree

Years ofExperience: 8 or more years of relevant experience

Hybrid:This position offers telework approx. 1 day a week - subject to change per the customer's discretion

Pay Range

USD $100,000.00 - USD $140,000.00 /Yr.
