Job summary

AAA Club Alliance is seeking a Senior Specialist, Accounting Transactions to ensure accuracy and integrity in recording, reconciling, and reporting financial and insurance-related transactions. You will support month-end close, interact with internal teams and carriers, and contribute to process improvements and controls.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in accounting with 3 years in corporate accounting or insurance operations, strong Excel skills, and the ability to manage multiple

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent combination of education and/or experience in accounting, finance, or insurance operations.
• 3 years of corporate accounting, financial operations, or insurance agency administration.
• Experience with insurance premiums, commissions, or carrier transactions preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Excel and financial/accounting systems.

Responsibilities

• Record, reconcile, and report financial information per policies and procedures.
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and monthly accounting reports.
• Reconcile insurance carrier receivables, bank accounts, and premium sweep accounts.
• Prepare, upload, validate, and balance insurance commission and premium transactions.
• Administer accurate variable compensation and commission payments.
• Maintain detailed accounting records for revenues, receivables, payables, premiums, and commissions.
• Investigate unusual transactions, discrepancies, and exceptions.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external carriers to resolve issues.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes and audits.
• Prepare recurring and ad hoc financial and insurance operation reports.
