Job summary

Harvard University is seeking a Senior Accounting & Systems Specialist within the Campus Services Finance & Administration Department. You will enhance accounting operations, drive automation, and maintain internal controls to ensure GAAP compliance.

The role requires at least 3 years of accounting experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently. A hybrid on-campus schedule is expected, with some remote work in Massachusetts as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent work experience required.
• Minimum 3 years’ relevant work experience.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and accounting fundamentals.
• Proven ability to work independently and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Support CSFA accounting operations, including billing, AR, and reconciliation.
• Lead journal entries and ensure accuracy with GAAP and policies.
• Close daily, monthly, quarterly, and year-end books on schedule.
• Develop ad-hoc reports for management and optimize processes with automation.
• Collaborate across departments and maintain internal controls.
