Job summary

Ohlone College in Fremont, CA seeks a Senior Accounting Technician (Temporary) to monitor financial assets, process invoices, and manage accounts receivable and payroll tasks. This short-term role supports the Administrative Services division on the Fremont Campus.

The position is temporary, with a maximum of 165 working days in a fiscal year, and does not include benefits. CalPERS enrollment applies after 1,000 hours worked in a fiscal year, and holidays are unpaid.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field with accounting coursework and three years clerical accounting experience.
• Evidence of responsiveness to diverse backgrounds and equity-minded practices.
• Experience with financial record-keeping and accounts receivable/payable.

Responsibilities

• Monitor College financial assets and functions including revenue, invoice processing, accounts receivable, check processing, fixed asset maintenance, sales and tax payments reporting and document preparation.
• Receive input and reconcile vouchering invoices; ensure accuracy of payment amounts, codes, discounts and sales tax.
• Locate and reconcile Purchase Orders with client information and process payment data into databases.

Education

Bachelor's degree in related field with accounting coursework
