The Accounting Specialist, Senior at El Paso County oversees posting documents and daily accounting tasks to ensure accurate reporting. Qualifications

• Associates Certificate or equivalent and four (4) years of bookkeeping/accounting experience.
• Two (2) years clerical office experience with cash handling.
• One (1) year of developmental supervisory or managerial experience.
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Responsabilités

• Post accounts payable, journal vouchers, and electronic transfers with proper approvals.
• Process bills for payment and resolve payment disputes.
• Prepare periodic accounting reports and reconciliations.
• Maintain filing systems for contracts, invoices, and checks.
• Respond to vendor inquiries via phone, email, or in person.
