Location
This position is 100% remote within the Bank's footprint. Employee will work full time remotely outside of a WesBanco location (may occasionally attend in-person meetings, although primary functions of the role are performed remotely).
Requirements
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university is required.
Minimum of two years related experience and/or training is required.
Job Description
SUMMARY: Maintains an accounting system that fairly presents the financial position of the company. Interfaces with management and uses professional judgment to supplement accounting policies and procedures in accomplishing that goal.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepares or coordinates the preparation of the month-end and reconciliation of loans to the general ledger, and prepares monthly loan reports.
- Assists the VP and Manager of Accounting with the allowance calculation, utilizing third-party software, and prepares/reviews supporting schedules related to allowance inputs and outputs.
- Understands banking software for loan interfaces and reviews loan-related general ledger accounts to ensure proper operation.
- Prepares quarterly loan footnotes, MD&A, and related schedules.
- Prepares or assists in the preparation of special reports and statistical loan-related reports.
- Keeps informed of system enhancements and reports used by the department.
- Recommends system or report enhancements where appropriate.
- Assists with information needs related to auditors and regulators.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Must acquire and maintain proficiency in the Bank's policies, procedures, laws, and regulations, and complete all compliance training timely.
- Ability to analyze complex documents and respond effectively to sensitive inquiries.
- Strong communication skills for speeches and presentations.
- Ability to understand advanced calculus, algebra, and statistical theories.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to interpret technical instructions.
